Meet your hosts

Nicole and Leslee became friends 16 years ago when Nicole invited Leslee to try a yoga class in Washington D.C. during their internship year. These two psychologists became inseparable and through the years and geographical distances, yoga has always brought them closer together.

Nicole blends her background and training in school psychology with her love of working with women in her current role as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She is passionate about helping women find balance in their lives through individual therapy and group work and loves to incorporate elements of yoga into her practice. Nicole completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2019 at Sacred Rivers Yoga in Glastonbury, Connecticut. Outside of work, Nicole has a passion for exploring new creative endeavors and a true love of nature. She is a mother of 2 strong willed tiny females and enjoys taking them on adventures.

Leslee incorporates yoga, mindfulness and wellness into her job as a school psychologist by helping students and staff on their healing journey through meaningful mind-body connections. She received her 200 hour yoga teacher training through the Yoga Education Institute in Sherman Oaks, California. She most recently participated in a 20 hour meditation teacher training as well as a 15 hour restorative yoga training. Leslee teaches weekly restorative yoga classes at Lumos yoga and Barre and believes rest is one of the best ways to restore and one of the most important elements of self care. When she’s not teaching you can find Leslee on a morning hike, cheering for her nephew’s football team, singing in the kitchen while she cooks and snuggling with her cat.

Both Leslee and Nicole are excited to share their unique talents as they help you re-set reflect and recharge among the trees.

“Around me, the trees stir in their leaves and call out ‘stay awhile’ The light flows from their branches and they call again ‘It’s simple’ they say ‘and you too have come into the world to do this, to go easy, to be filled with light and to shine.’”

— Mary Oliver, When I am among the trees
